I could also take over one of those tours if needed

I can also do the Tour of the Alps/Giro d'Abbruzzo

Camembert : same as last year, remove the first 6 kms to have the good amount of kms (as this year, there are the details about where the real start is)

Vitré : should be the same; no reason that they change the circuits.

Besançon : no details yet, but the last key 4kms should be the same. so, old profile can be added in preview; if they change the circuit before, I will design it, but the end should remain the same as past years.

Jura : no details yet, but same as Besançon, only info available, last kms should be similar. can be put into the preview with last year profile as of now.

Doubs : might be different, info will be available on the 25th, I will check that then.

Not much to complain about the calendar this month. Maybe we can ride the Volta NXT classic two days later on the 7th. Apart from that, I am fine with no parallel tours to monuments and Basque. So for once I will not argue for additional tours.

Sorry, you should have seen me grinning while writing it. I know I can be annoying from time to time, so thanks for all the work everybody does to make the race calendar possible.

Minimal changes to circuit, same difficulties, grrr.

New finale in Amstel 2025, with Cauberg returning.

Last 5km become: -4 -3 +6 +1 -1 - with the last three kilometers identical with the Cauberg section in the middle of race.

Up for discussion as that Cauberg sieb changes the nature of the race quite a bit (as it might in real life, too).

The start times for the morning look quite good. It was also confirmed today at the 8h race that 8h suits many teams well.

Black-Star(08:05): 8h is a nice time
RV Allagen(08:05): Und der Klassiker halt, dass immer 2-3 Teams mit 9 oder 10 Uhr als Start rechnen und off sind
Alkworld(08:03): bisschen zu früh für mich ... überlappt mit der Schule

No controversies, so Final PDF is there.

Tiny changes:

- Volta Limburg Classic added. It used to be parallel to GP Indurain, but postponing it because it makes Itzulia parallel programme more interesting and it was a pain to design, so would be a shame if there were only two editions
- Will try 8h and 10h once in parallel, but actually I noticed there are only few opportunities for this, because it only makes sense on weekdays without parallel races.

New first loop... grrr.... 56km instead of 52km, no change otherwise.



Same as last two years.


Tomorrow I will publish all real races until 13th April, unless there are any objections. Mostly to put pressure on r TAKA to plan more fantasy races

Btw, I'm not too happy with the early final PDF, if it says 25th or around 25th then sometimes people might wait a bit longer for their comments. NOt the case this month for me, but could have been.

Early or late final PDF... never ideal... but I don't always have time every day, so can't promise being online every 25th and so will need to live with both things (early/late) happening... that's why it says ingame:

Done. New start as usual, the final circuit the same as 2023, so just copied that. Mintact km 168 of 205, Mur de Huy passage.

Hope didn't forget anything...

Update :
Besançon classic is exactly the same as past year; old profile can be uploaded.
Tour du Jura has the exact same finish, but the loop before is a little different. I will redesign it if time. But old profile can be published as of now (for forms purpose), as the loop change won't affect the race favorites and spirit.

Giro d'Abruzzo

It's not "former Giro di Sicilia". Yes, RCS substituted the Giro di Sicilia with the Giro d'Abruzzo, presumably the local organization in Sicily had some problems, sponsors most likely, whatever, no clue. So they went to Abruzzo and found people with enough money to organize their race, not the Giro di Sicilia, but the Giro d'Abruzzo there. But it's not the same race, it's not just a different name, it's a different race all together. Both revived, one died again. So the "event" should not be Giro di Sicilia either. It's just not the same race. Like the Tour of Guanxi is not the "former Tour de Beijing". Maybe the same organizer, but completely different part of the country.
