Why not give De Panne a try?
See the Belgian classics thread for details on resources etc, for info on how the climbs were done last year, post stuff there, at least I will happily complain if I don't like something.
Leso:
Finally got around checking 2010 for PN/Tirreno
Both had 5 times, and 9 times we had ok groups, only PN 15h had a smaller group with only 9.
Details
TA 10h 17
PN 11h 15
TA 14h 17
PN 15h 9
TA 17h 15
PN 18h 20
TA 20h 28
PN 21h 25
TA 22h 22
PN 23h 13
So to me it seems that tours with longer mintact are more popular
Ok ok, more seriously. 8 of 10 editions with good participation, 1 weak, one neither good nor bad. (13 23h) Both of them PN, probably PN just wasn't as good or interesting looking as TA in 2010. This year IMO they look similar.
Cutting the 23h time IMO not a good idea though here. Weaker than 8 others, but could be because of the PN course. And stronger than 15h PN. No, don't cut afternoon PN, Zeter und Mordio Geschreie would follow. But keep the 23h slot.
Don't know if the numbers increased much since last year, but anyway, in february the 23h times for stage races had ok participation, so IMO should be ok. Not the risk of a 7-9 teams group.
Add 23h TA is my opinion. Ok, I'm late as usual, still, add it tomorrow if no time today.
Catalunya: Why always 14/15, 17/18? Why not 16+19 for once? When they get times for middle important stuff, they usually get ok groups
Edit: CI times than would need to be adapted. Don't see the point in 17-19 anyway. no the early evening gets 2? Normal evening 0, afternoon 0, late evening one? IF you want to keep 17, then 17-20-23. But get over your love for 17 anyway, it's not more popular than other times. Make Catalunya morning-16-19-21-23 and CI in the evening 22, then don't know.. being less important and Nebenprogramm 12-17-20-22 or something weird like that might be ok.
