It's a pity that RSF make restrictions in such a way. Why you don't leave it up to the teams?

I don't see the fun of it. :(

There's a simple (and already proposed) solution to this problem. Raise the value of the GTs. At the moment, riding a GT means losing money and racing against tough opponents, while other tours have weak fields and incredible amounts of money (and even points) to be won.

I have put some mountain points on the etapps, at the real they say there (mountain prices),
maybe i can change it if somebody don`t like this, perhaps on stage 4 no first category
mountain :?: :?: :!:

looks like a sprint, no difficults, at the end 1/1/1% but no problems for sprinter

Image

no difficults, first km er’s a little high, good for sprinters

Image

Wjazd na Runde no problems for the sprinters, max. 1%

Image

first hilly stage, Kubalonka at the end 6/7/9%, at the end of the race 3/4%,

Image

Glodowka looks hard but only one 6%, at the end 3% up the last 5km flat

Image

long and hard stage, 6/7% at the end for the Bustryk, at the end (km 193,194;10%/10%)

Image

the last day of the tour is again for the sprinters!

More money for GTs. I could support it.

Kein Problem.
Ich kann ein Sonderrennen einführen. Für die 5 Euros kannst du sogar die Uhrzeit aussuchen und entscheiden welche Divs starten dürfen.

it could turn out to be contra productive though. more money for gt means more expensive teams for gts. right now a 600k team, is still a monetary risk, if the money is increased enough, it becomes a smaller risk, it could become like the 500k team now, calculated risk, lose money, but not too much, can afford it. 600 k now almost nobody can. result would be, more superstrong 600k teams at gts, which would make the tour more unattracive for teams that don't want to invest that money, for 'cannon fodder' teams, that are just there to escape, try a stage with a few weaker leaders etc.

the answer is the opposite, less money for little tours imo. cut the gc money for smaller tours. actually there already is such a proposal, a virtually perfect one by a user named robyklebt, somewhere, i'll go look for it.

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=894&start=75

the post from 19.02.2011 12.20. cut the money for lower gc places in small tours. instead of giving the guy who will get 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 24. at qinghai 33'600 per day, meaning 302'400 since it's 9 days, with my proposal he would get 18'500 per day, which is 166'500. That IMO is the way to go, doesn't have to be my exact numbers, not posted there anyway, have them in an excelfile i think... but cutting the gc money for lower cat tours, while leaving the high cat stuff roughly the same. gts many teams, incl. me for the giro, will always go at the upper limit of what they think they can afford. if we get 20% more for gts, my girosalary will rise accordingly. from 550 rough upper limit to 660 then. and in the end for those that want to come as outsiders with lower salaries, that just makes the gts less attractive then. but we are in the wrong thread.. mmh, actually we are in the right one now that i think of it, leso might be more open to that brillant proposal than his weird son... have a serious talk with that guy leso!

Why the restrictions of Sibiu? Okay, there are some moneytary reasons, points too. But look at the characteristics of the tours: Austria is just for 85+ mountain riders with TT, Wallonie is for this 3 Millions 75-80 riders at RSF, Qinghai just a sprinter tour. Sibiu is something for allrounder teams like mine. Please make one Sibiu tour open for all or 1-4 Div. Brixia I dont know, the link gives me the names of the stages but no profile, so I dont know if it is an alternative. At the moment I dont see any race for me, just boring tours and uncalculable singel day races in the first week. Form planning is not possible.

I can correct Schwaigern or substitute it with la route de Faou from last year.
I don´t have new pavés race.

For wallonie I wait an answer from Gaurain

Sibiu will be adapted.

Well, it's real at least. Confirmed by Papa Ape, who has been there x times by now, usually got to use the driver of the vice-prime minister as well. Or was it vice president? Anyway, he confirmed that it's really almost all cobblestones, which made for not too confortable car riding. But according to him now they are modernizing a lot... the Chinese in action once again, after having pavec 3/4 of their country, now they are paving Africa.

But if you think it's too arcade, even though it's real, wait a minute, the ape has an idea.
