Start 272 meter
HIghest point/höchster PUnkt 411
5-9-7 is too much, you go up 210 meters, it should only go up 140!/5-9-7 ist zu viel, Steigung 210 meter, sollten nur 140 sein!

Hey !
An idea for June ! Maybe only 2times on the calendar, maybe only for Div5-6 ... but I have a nice little tour to show you.
That's the biggest cyclo of the world (I think), most of the cyclist choose a circuit only for one : the sunday.
But some crazy dudes can do a big, big circuit in three days :

The hills are not always big, but there are a lot ...

ps, offical date in the calendar : 17-19june

What other races need to be designed ?

Luxemburg ?
Delta Tour: stages are a little bit longer as last year
Ster Elektrotoer: seems to have changed a little bit too
What about la Route du Sud ?
Tour of slovenia ?

Dauphiné 2010 !

Image

A first little climb in the prologue !

Image

A calm stage with an interesting end with the last climb : a steep climb.

Image

Mittle moutain to start, flat to conclude, except some 3-4% near the finish line.

Image

A perfect long ITT ! a climb start this exercise, and a flat road to reach the line, for the specialists. 49kms, you can lose here the Dauphiné, but it's impossible to win here !

Image

A long day, not really interesting : big valleys. And a climb to finish. A fresh climber will win.

Image

A short stage, with the climb of Chamrousse (Ski station for the City of Grenoble). An interesting end on the flat with the climbers in front ...

Image

The BIG stage. Glandon + Alpe d'Huez. Possible to win here !

Image

If the team of the GK leader is tired ... not cool for him. This last steep circuit (4-9-11) offers some possibilities !

And now the times for Suisse and Dauphiné:

I am incertain principally with a 23h tour.
4 times for every tour ? 5 times too much I think.

Suisse: 10,15,18,21
Dauphiné: 11,17,20,22

What do you mean ?

Suisse: 10,15,18,21
Dauphiné: 11,17,20,22
Maybe 16h of you don't want to put 15h. Let one time for the afternoon. 16h-19h ?

there is a lack of 5 hours between 10 and 15 h and 6 hours between 11 and 17h. that´s no problem for anyone?

The difference would be only 4 hours, between 11h Dauphiné and 15h Suisse. So the chances are a bit higher for everyone to ride one of the major stage races in june. Still a gap, however. But that could only be solved if one of the tours get a 5th edition. I know somebody who would shout out, that that would harm the "field strenghts"...

a other possibility could be:
10,13,17,20,23 for Dauphiné
11,15,18,21 for Suisse
?
Decision tomorow !

5 times are too much i think...don't forget the single races at the same day...too many races...

I find your first suggestion more beautiful. But maybe I'm not really competent for assessing how much editions would be needed for midday and early afternoon.

if i'm allowed to bring in an idea

Dauphine: 09:00, 14:00, 18:00, 22:00
Suisse: 10:00, 15:00, 20:00, 23:00

why? because i like it 8-)

Tour de Suisse 2010 June 12th - 20th
Dauphine Libere June 6th - 13th

and this two tours cross with Ster Elektrotoer and Zealand...

so the two big tours only 4 times and the two smaller tours only 3 times...

I'm mostly opposed to 17h that got 2 GTs last year while deserving 0.
