Re: February 2026
Possible dates for fantasy World Championships:
Tu, 3rd Feb (in that case, we could have cyclocross world championships as a national team event, too)
Th, 12th Feb
Tu, 24th Feb
We, 25th Feb
Depending on which date is preferred, we can have National Championships on one of the other available dates.
Otherwise, feel free to discuss stage races (always tricky in Feb) and one day races (less tricky), too.

Re: February 2026
Maybe we could think about adding an Andalucia edition too. Either additional to what we have, or by cutting one more UAE edition (Probably the better option with current player numbers)

WC cyclocross for nations is a good ideaGipfelstuermer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 13, 2026 5:15 pmPossible dates for fantasy World Championships:

Re: February 2026
As calendar coordination becomes complicated again in the early sprint, I have some suggestions as well. Again, the table includes all races x.1 and higher. This is no suggestion to ride all of them.
One day races, maybe move one from 2nd to 3rd (will there be a parallel program to the WC?). South Aegean GP could replace the fantasy race on the 26th as well.
Tour-wise, I think we can do five parallel editions. Parallel tours can turn out more teams than 5 times the same profile, so I think five editions are fine. This means we could add more tours if we have designers, even if it will be just one edition for some tours. Besseges has similar fields (in real life) to Valenciana and Oman. Lower cat should be no criterion there, especially against tours outside Europe. Murcia, as a two-stage tour, would be a newish thing. Again, it has similar participation to Provance, so a 2-2 would be possible. From UEA, Algarve, and Andalucia, I would say Andalucia has slightly weaker fields, but is still important, while Algarve has very strong fields. So my suggestion would be 2-2-1. Sardegna is back in the calendar after a few years. Maybe an Italian speaker can try to find out if it will go ahead this year. As it crashes with another half-classic on March 1st (not the February 29th) I will not ride it, but some teams may like it. Last but not least, I would love to ride a race outside Europe, but Rwanda starts one day to early to be a real option.
I would love to read more opinions, and could do some designing later this month (or next month if the profiles come late).

Re: February 2026
GP La marseillaise changed the route this year, especially the end. New design required. But can't find enough details yet. still hilly but without the key steep climb we had the past years.
Faun-Ardèche Classic need an update with the final circuit at least. same spirit, hard hilly.
Classic Var needs a full redesign, more sprinters friendly this year. not for climbers this time.
Tour des Alpes-Maritimes, hilly with a possible short (1.5kms) hilltop finish.
Tour de la Provence, even if stages 1 and 3 have the same start and arrival towns as last year, routes are different. Stage 2 is completely different, with a big moutain top finish (will see if the weather allows it irl), so it changes the face of GC fight compared to last year.
If I have time, I might start to design the ones with available info this weekend.
Bessèges has an interesting profil with the short hilly ITT at the end. Quite short stages also, usually liked by many managers I'd remember ?
Also, some stages are similar to past years, so less design work there.

Re: February 2026
One edition of Bessèges would be nice maybe, but hard to tell with 2 tours parallel. Profiles are looking interesting
Re: February 2026
Is there any chance that we could have the 20h UAE moved to 22h or later?

Re: February 2026
Dont think that is easily possible from a technical perspective. We already have issues with the WC and i.e. selling riders. (or are they solved already?)

Re: February 2026
I made the WC races in Uzebekistan as tribute to Murodbek, best rider of the year. Weather won'tbe the greatest but not so bad still.
The U23 races are not available yet?

a bit of a sprinter friendly profile but with the long distance and the 150ish km hilly circuit it will be difficult. There's only one 6% but plenty of orange parts in the circiuit. Final 100 are flat.
Didn't set a mintact yet, not sure what would make sense last 20 or more.
