15th is the day Luques is supposed to post the PDF preview.... Since I fear it might take some time here the hard to read copy and paste preview:

3 different previews actually.
1) with no parallel tours: That's the one I post here. Advantage is less designing necessary.
2) parallel tours: 2 edition each for Valencia+Besseges/Algarve+Ruta del Sol. Advantage would be that people who can chose times can chose which tour they like better.
3) Parallel tours 3+2 editions. (jus realized have a mistake in that one, but IF people want that one can correct it later): Advantage: We could offer a 23h edition for one tour. And a 20 (that's half the mistake right now) 2 times that with only 4 editions right now normally are very hard to offer.

With option 1 I think Valencia, higher c4f category, and Algarve, longer since we've ridden it get the nod over Bessèges (and Saudi) and Ruta del Sol.

Late in the month parallel to Algarve (1 day) and more importantly Het Nieuwsblad UAE Tour. Like last year, due to the overlap with Het Nieuwsblad 3 editions enough. Cut the morning this time. Last 2 years the afternoon was cut, so should be there this time. Morning had a bit less participation than early evening in the last 2 years, so cut that.

Faun Ardeche one day forward as in the last years, so that it's not parallel to Het Nieuwsblad.

Categories and times as usual can be discussed and adapted.

Updated preview, you can happily ignore the text above now. Expect this to be the calendar at this point, but still time for changes of course.

Remaining Cat.1 Cyclocross Calendar
06.02. Krawatencross --> Date seems OK
12.02. Superprestige Gavere --> Could be ridden on 11.02.
13.02. Brussels Universities Cyclocross --> Could be ridden on 15.02.
20.02. Internationale Sluitingsprijs Oostmalle --> Date seems OK

06.02. Krawatencross
Image
Profile: http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/p ... watencross
Lap: 0 0** 1* -1*
Description: A relatively easy course at first sight, but the Sand part is quite tough. It deserves a 0** at least.
Video: https://cyclocross24.com/de/race/lille/
Type: Flat
Min-Tact: km1
Duration: 36min

12.02. Superprestige Gavere
Image
Profile: http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/p ... nen=gavere
Lap: +2 -2** +2* -2
Description: The Gavere Superprestige starts and ends on a relatively long asphalt road, so I put no dirt road there. The part in the middle is very technical with a relatively fast decent with many corners (-2**) and a normal technical part uphill (+2*).
Video: https://cyclocross24.com/de/race/gavere/
Type: Flat
Min-Tact: km1
Duration: 32min

13.02. Brussels Universities Cyclocross
Image
Profile: http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/p ... university
Lap: 0 +1* -1* 0
Description: The name sounds like a school children race, but in fact it belongs to the X20 Trofee and typically features all the big cyclocross names. The course is indeed a bit easier though. Probably one for the sprinters!
Video: https://cyclocross24.com/de/race/brussels/
Type: Flat
Min-Tact: km1
Duration: 28min

20.02. Internationale Sluitingsprijs Oostmalle
Image
Profile: http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/p ... =oostmalle
Lap: 0** 0** 0
Description: The traditional end of the cyclocroos season on Oostmalle. The start/finish is on an airport so it deserves to be a flat road. The course itself is hard with lots of sandy parts but no bigger hills. So it is the flattest but not easiest course.
Video: https://cyclocross24.com/de/race/oostmalle/
Type: Flat
Min-Tact: km1
Duration: 31min

Uae and algarve overlap?
And its 7 Editions in total?

That du Sounds to much in my opinion with the current number of teams.

It's only one day overlap (which will certainly have bad participation in one day races) but I agree. Algarve-UAE 4-3 probably a bit too much. 3-3 or 2-2 better. 2-3 also justifiable as UAE is part of World Tour (thanks to UCI...).

Doesnt really matter if its only one day overlap teams will still split between these 2 tours then.

2-3 i think would be maximum for ok participation

One thing to take into account is that UAE is parallel with Het Nieuwsblad as well. So while it will be probably quite popular, there will be a number of people who will not ride it for sure, but might consider the line Algarve-Het Nieuwsblad. So less editions, hm, 2 seems little. 3? 4 is probably too optimistic.
Algarve usually very TT friendly, so another thing to consider maybe... I wouldn't go under 3.
Time proposals? The logic one is cutting the afternoon. But then Mobster, AAD and company will complain in the one day races again, like last year with UAE

It does matter for the one day races participations, would also vote for 2-3

With 2-3 then Algarve morning evening 9-22, UAE as now 15-18-21
With 3-3 Algarve 9-19-22, UAE 15-18-21

Better? And which one?

even with that meaning i cant ride Algarve even if that fits better for me. but i think 5 editions for parallel tours is enough currently.

This!
We shouldn't have too much tours at the same time with that low number of players. So no problem, if afternoon has to ride one day races.

But why Algarve 9 and 22? Very early and very late. Maybe 21 for the second better?

9-22 mostly out of laziness. Avoid having to move around UAE and Het Nieuwsblad in the excel file and possibly other stuff so that they are not parallel and keep a certain balance 21/22

But ok, I failed. 9-21 makes more sense. Or  How about 9-20? 20 is the very forgotten while popular time with the usual 4 editions we have now, IMO would fit nicely. 9-20 Algarve my newest proposal! 9-21 or 10-20/21 would work too of course, but now propose 9-20!

Just a remark from my side: Why are all tours that are cut in the afternoon starting at 9h? Can you just randomly let some of those start at 10h? Just realized in the Andes, and now looks the same. Probably just a ME problem but I can ride in the morning, but not at 9 each day.

Damn you're fast. Thanks!
Thought I start with Valencia today and Algarve later, but Algarve already done... so I'll do Valencia, we don't want you to suffer from burn-out later in the season after all!

Edit: Just saw that on flamme rouge Valencia still is "Presentation maps". Doubt much will change, but I wait till Monday to see if they get the "final maps"...

I did it chronologically. Valenciana, Provence, Algarve, UAE,.... so you don't to start all over again, but any check of my work is highly welcomed :)

I usually check every stage la-flamme-rouge vs. what the official website says. But then sometimes la-flamme-rouge has new info faster than the official websites! Don't know how they do that, but they must have some really good sources. In any case, feel free to check what I did :) Mistakes can happen quickly. And I'd even be prepared to talk about min-tacts (although I won't agree to 30km every stage).

And then as you mentioned, organizers like to change things last-minute, too... But for the game I think it's good if races are there before the end of the month, so people can set form.

Damn, Valencia done too.... already first, somehow I always missed that, saw you did the others...

Not complaining anyway and certainly not going to check.

Mintact is designers decision anyway. Real races can be discussed, but I'm certainly not going to discuss for those races. Btw, I'm far from being a 30km purist, I have absolutely no objection to longer mintacts!
