The difficulty of pavé in the game physics is also dependant on the gradient of the particular KM. Hence a * can be selective on a 2%, 3% or more KM although not so much on riders with a good climbing skill, while on 0% it has hardly any effect at all. Still, the question is if you want to favour classic riders in general or riders with a better pavé skill more. The version with only * certainly favours classic riders or climbers/80-70 with a decent pavé skill (60+).Gipfelstuermer wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 12:29 amStrade Bianche... Mmmh, normally we agreed on gravel to be * but in real life the peloton explodes, here nothing happens.
Maybe on those long passages, an increase would be realistic, so for example over 8km gravel, increase slowly from * to *** to reflect the difficulty to stay in one group over longer gravel distance? Not perfect, but maybe more realistic?
In real life, you have both, winners that are also good on pavé races, Flanders guys, f.e. Cancellara, van Avermaet, etc. but also more like the Ardennes guys like Bardet, Kwiatkowski, Brambilla, Valverde on the podium. And of course cyclocross specialists like Stybar, van Aert, etc. So this will be very hard to achieve with the current game physics anyway. But so far, I haven't had the impression that the race is very different than f.e. PR here compared to PR in real life.
Long story short: I think we can leave it at *.
