Re: Winter season 2014-2015 - Calendar and discussion

Well, my view about "classic" one day races in december is shifted towards Roby's view. For me, a good classic race has a certain kind of history, which can be build by riding it every year. Well, for fantasy races, somewhen some races were chosen, and those have build up as much of a history as pos...

Re: Winter season 2014-2015 - Calendar and discussion

@cerro : about that race, a sprinter with 60+uphill could easily win it with a good support. Should we give the HC status from the moment the race goes over a certain average %/km ? even if last 100kms are flat ? what about races with 200kms flat and last km at 6%, should it be called flat ? My tho...

Re: Winter season 2014-2015 - Calendar and discussion

Sorry but that one example I have to argue about http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/pngfiles/alomo.png How the hell can a race like that, with 30km climbs of like 1500m hight difference can be classified as something else then a HC race. Not every HC has to end with a climb. Not every HC has to b...

Presentation Campeonato de los Andes 2014

Campeonato 2014 is done, ready for presentation. Some words about the concept headfirst: Does anyone remember the first Campeonato, back in 2006? Back then, all kilometers were ridden in one minute steps, so we had to cut out about 60% of all km to make it work in a senceful timespan. It's also bin ...

Re: Giro 2014

Well, as I recently bought a license that will enable me to ride the next Giro, I think I may have a voice in here to, even if I just started again. I can only agree with Rockstar. Good decisions need some seconds for thinking. Do we want to concentrate any good action on the last 20 km? Well, me no...

Campeonato de los Andes 2014

To early to start thinking about? Well for me never. You might already be able to guess why I open that topic. It's about the question if you maybe allow me to design another tour, despite having just restarted to play the game, if it's not already decided. A concept is already in my mind. But I don...

Adrian Ilie scores second stage for the team

The dominating feeling right now is: Yes, we are back. The Instinct is not all gone. Today, In a race that long time looked to be predetermined to be won by a climber, we took all we have. While the tempo in the first group was not that fast, 9 km before the mountain Ilie and Toft attacked. What we ...

Rosa Ryan

Today, at the 4th stage, the team took over the Maglia Rosa. This time it's Ryan O'Rielly to get it, and maybe he can keep it for a while now. A four man group formed early, headfirst lead by Snaebjörn, and could gain an advantage of up to nearly 27 minutes, which went to be 8 at the finish. Zwingli...

Re: Blackboard for team sitting

Well, I thought I could just leave my team alone that weekend. But now, Ryan O'Rielly has a 7 minute advantage in teh General Classification. As, beeing here, I would for sure try to defend it as long as possible, I have to ask for a sitter. But, as it is, I'm not, on that from Wednesday till Saturd...

Re: Giro 2013

Ok, won't worry about the hight, but do all stages (beside TT) earn the same points? because that wuld mean the mayor change to the real Giro.

Re: Giro d'Italia, 20:00

Ok, haven't seen that Bahamontes is still that young, so he might play a role, as till the first mountain stage, he already can rise to 84. On the other side, and that's my mayor concern with your listing, every stage offers a 20s of bonification, which Bahamontes will never reach on any stage. I co...

Re: Giro 2013

what about points?

The win got me 30 yesterday, though several sources say 25.

Especially, I want to know if points are the same on all stages, which I think it will be like.

Stage win at Giro already in the books after first stage

With the markable change to introduce a new sprint system came the reason to try a return. Today, it proved to be right and worthwile. In exactly that new system, Arda Turan showed an awesome sprint performence with a line of perfect decissions. Started off by Warren Harding to keep him out of troub...

Giro d'Italia, 20:00

That's already the second time I started than topic without any real goals to go into it... just taking par because it is the Giro, quite sure the only GT I will ride that year. Ok, headfirst I have to make an adjustment to that announcement. Don't expect me to ride field 2. If it shows that there a...

There might be same points that are worth a discussion, I point out those that I see already. http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/pngfiles/giro13tappa10.png?rand=1367168122 Needs a long mintact, starting at 103, because the Passo Cason di Lanza is just to steep to b...
