Re: Weather, Fantasy races

I'd need some help to figure out how climate currently works, because I have to know to predetermine the climate I have to expect for my races. How I understood what the Great Ape wrote, that the weather is forever determinded by the weather of the country's capital. Is that completly correct, or co...

ok, it works. Dunno what was my mistake, but if it works, it's all good. Just another time to notice: The error usually sits in front of the screen.

Re: Made by Cerro

Let's try some races in southern countries. To start, let's go the the two most southern countries of the world. The Vuelta a Patagonia will consist of 6 stages in Argentina and Chile. Finnally, it went to be a very easy tour. As there are only few mountains to go into the mountains, the connection ...

Re: October 2012

What's it mean, south... how far south? Not that I wouldn't know what you mean, but see, there are a lot of countries where you could do races in some parts of them. Italy or Spain, if staying in the coastal areas, for example, are well possible, southern France too, but Central Spain or the Sierra ...

Well, second thought, we have a lot of races where we assume another road quality, especially in countries like that. Think it's ok.

Re: Races by Radunion

As I designed a similar race before (you can review it in my threat if you want), I have to state your race is not very realistic. The profile yes, but on this island, nearly all roads are cobblestones, and only few asphaltic km's you can find there (mostly in Praia). Just to note...

Sachsen Pavés that close to the Tour de Pavés? Would prefer it in January.

Re: Nationenkomitee / Nations Komitee /

Just as I see it: Why has Ricard Virenque not a nation. Ricard is an existing first name (a spanish one, think of Ricard Rubio Vives), and Virenque a family name. Even though it sounds like a clone, you can't call it to be one. A well possible name combination. Btw, Jean Voigt the same.

Re: fairness division 6/7

Re: New Race Editor

Something quite unimportant, but I note it anyway:
From the race I did today, it got obvious that the last km is not displayed in the map (the route ends quite exactly where I measured the penultimate km).

Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2012

Hehe, see quite a number of citys that were start or finish of the Campeonato 2008 (Manizales, Popayan, Pasto, Ibarra), but don't worry, the tracks look quite different. Too, it switched to Ecuador nearly at the same stage number. Let's see where it's leading in Ecuador.

Re: Designing questions

If it's made in a free Google Earth version, the answer is simple: It's impossible as the .kml contains no hight information.

Re: New Race Editor

Hey leso, I'd ask for another feature that would help me designing races very much... It would be nice if I could load an .etn file (from the excel editor) and a .kml file for the same race, so one doesn't overwrite each others information (hight from .etn, map info from .kml). Would like it very mu...

Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2012

Looks a lot more like Campeonato that time... Although I am not a friend of starting with a mountain stage, I like the first one, with a short finish climb prequelled by a much longer one (hope it's hard enough). One question, is Los Nevados in the same direction like Alto de Letras, just some furth...

Re: Campeonato de los Andes 2012

Ok, I looked at the numbers already, and I have to agree with Alkworld. We have 4 stages that are suitable for climbers. 2 of them (stage 4 and 7) are very short mountain finishs with more or less constant, very long and flat to not very steep climbs in prequel to it, that offer perfect terrain for ...

Headfirst, for Alks wish: I still have the pdf presentations for 2008 (german) and 2009 (german and english). But the PDF's are too large to post them here. I would need to split them in multiple zip files, which I will only do if directly asked for (Quite some klickwork). Still online is the presen...

http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/pngfiles/colladaestacion.png?rand=1343167752 So to test what the map tool can do, I designed a first race. Others will follow. The race centers on one of my favourite mountain passes, the Alto de Abantos, which sadly I haven't seen in television for years. As t...

Re: Designing questions

I got a problem with the map tool. Designing a track in Google Earth as usual, I saved the .kml file and uploaded it. No hight information, which is normal as the file just contains none, but so far it worked. What did not work is the length the stage editor calculated. In RSF, its 6 km shorter than...

Re: Giro d'Italia 2012

thing is, if it would be flat within Mortirolo and Stelvio, it were ok, but the terrain between isn't. it's an endless way of climb in rage of 1%, 2%, 3% like that... 20 km. That's the most difficult terrain to go for a lonely rider or a small group, helpers are that important on a terrain like that...

Re: Lombardia 2011

Yeah, did. Nibali made it really interesting with getting away at the Madonna del Ghisallo, looking very strong, even shaking Gilbert from his wheel. But in the upcoming downhill part, a chasing group with much too many helpers formed, and so Nibali was reached in the flat. Last Mountain, well easy ...
