Re: Starting values for riders

I don't like that approach. You say skull doesn't address certain problems that would arise, so his idea can't be a worthy goal to working towards. You say P-R sprint analysis is not correct, so abolishing the flat skill limitation can't be done. As long as a user doesn't come up with a completely e...

Re: Starting values for riders

Any rider with 80+ flat looses al lot of energy at all the cobbles, sprintskill or not. He would need 2 helpers throughout the race in order not to all too far behind at every sector. The man for the final kms also needs 2 helpers throughout the race. One would be needed for controlling and chasing....

Re: Starting values for riders

2. If he starts with 73-80 (flat-sprint) he can, with some luck, go up to 77-93, with "other" luck to 80-90. If he has much pavé (hidden value: 82) we will have a 93-Sprinter with 78.5 or a 90-Sprinter with 80.6 Pavé, and with a really good team around (Franco, Marzahn, BQ, TT in their best times) ...

Re: Starting values for riders

To prevent PR from being decided in a mass sprint just let the teams ride with 8 riders per team. Then it's very difficult, not to say impossible to control such a long race against all the attackers. Furthermore massively reduce the number of top skilled riders, so that it's hardly possible to buil...

Re: May 2011

I choosed Dunkerke for compability with the last year name This name is not completely bad. French: Dunkerque Dutch: Duinkerke(n) Flemish: Duunkerke Deutsch: Dünkirchen Dunkirk was first mentioned in 1067 as Dunkerk (Dutch: “Church of the Dune” or "Dune Church") We have the choice. But I agr...

Re: May 2011

Oh, really? The dutch name seems to have an 'i' in it -> "Duinkerke". There are also some few results that appear without that 'i', but I'm not sure about if it's not just another spelling mistake by certain sites. Anyway, Rohrheim used the correct French spelling in the stage profiles, but only in ...

Is it possible to retroactively change "Dunkerke" to "Dunkerque"? Looks not nice in the palmares. Little slip of the pen by the race drawer obviously.

Welcher Giro? Welche Uhrzeit? Welche Einstellung? Welcher km? Was war eingegeben? Welche Einstellung sprang raus?

Re: Consulting for clueless managers

RSf has this special type of sprinters, called "hill-sprinters" for races that have a little obstacle in the finale, while in RL only Cavendish gets dropped (if any) while the rest of the bunch may fall apart, but nonetheless finishes the race with all the sprinters in the main field. Depending on t...

Re: Chaos Team

The way groups may unfold in reality is not very often the way it goes in RSF. You know it yourself. Yes, because we keep banning everybody and everything that might provide a different approach. But not because RSF would prevent it. Cathegorically denying to occasionally surrender oneself to a mor...
