Re: March 2026

Had a look at Omloop & KBK participation. Omloop 10: 12 14: 14 18: 17 21: 20 KBK 11: 14 15: 16 19: 12+11 22: 17 Considering these are pave-heavy, not highest category races, so probably amongst the least popular of the classics, I conclude: We can afford a 5th edition for (most of) the classics on t...

And another small one:

It would be good to be nice to be able to push races from 'planned' back into 'draft'.

Re: La Flamme Rouge GPX not working anymore? Here is the solution!!!

But maybe after all it is a firefox issue (just came to my mind), can you confirm that e.g. the 2026 Strade Bianche is working for you? And if so, how the header looks like for you? Tested it and it works (Edge). File is the same as you posted, but didn't have to adjust xml version and gpx creator....

Re: March 2026

Strade Bianche 2026 80% of the race as last year, some gravel streets not ridden this year. I took the same sectors as in last years edition except for Vidritta which is just partially ridden this year 2 instead of 4 km so I downgraded the two km to *. Comments/Feedback/Critizism welcome Thanks. He...

Re: March 2026

https://cycling4freaks.de/img/profiles/laigueglia26.png They changed route, so found out that the old design was inconsistent with MSR ratings. Now the design has: Capo Mele 4 3 (MSR direction) Capo Berta 5 5 (MSR direction) Cipressa 5 4 6 5 2 (MSR direction) Capo Berta 3 4 4 (reverse direction) Ca...

Re: The Race Editor

Apart from the user friendliness mentioned by Roby, one feature that is really missing compared to the old editor is:

- Reverse Copy/Paste
- Reverse Circuit

It's very relevant for real races who do all sorts of crazy circuits...

Re: La Flamme Rouge GPX not working anymore? Here is the solution!!!

So far it was also working fine for me.

Maybe you were unlucky and came across a corrupted file, but normally the LFR gpx files work for me.

Anyway, thanks for the solution in case the same happens to anyone else.

Re: Race Calculation Redesign

Does this also mean, that we could ride more than 1km on sectors with a lot of flat, straight, unchanging streets? So e.g. 3km as one sector? Probably not, attackers would gain too much time against a rolling group. From a technical perspective, it would be possible, but if it makes sense from game...

Lepelstraat 1 5 instead of Boembeek 5.

Otherwise identical with 2025.

Based on this, I would suggest

P-N 14-20
T-A 10-18-22
Is that the final decision?
Yes. Confirmed with Final PDF now.

New difficulties compared to last year:
2x Eikenberg 6**
Tenbosse 5
Parikeberg 5

Not 100% sure about classification of those. Tenbosse could be 4 but was even 6 in the past in some races, so opted for 5.

Schappy, I would be surprised if FPC fines you for this, because the behavior has previously not been fined as far as I know. So in a way it is also 'OK' to do this.... The same is true for other teams who are trying to walk a fine line without directly insulting and trying to avoid fines. Meine per...

React Editor - Design Guide

Just writing this down as I've been asked for it a few times: For each real race (or stage), announce here that you plan to design it, and then you start your Design process: How to design a profile in 10 Steps 1) Build the stage in a navigation app (e.g. ridewithgps.com ) based on the official race...

Re: March 2026

Ok, trying to summarize - T-A afternoon being most popular does not mean it needs to be repeated, i.e. rotation is seen as more important. - One edition P-N in 'working hours' - People disagree on what 'working hours' are - If you offer 2 parallel stage races, they might only be able to ride one of ...

So you are working hard on changing my mind. Very good. Of course possible to give P-N a working hour slot (morning or afternoon), but there are a few problems: - If we give it to the morning, it will end up exactly the same schedule as last year (Morning + Evening for P-N / Afternoon, Early Eve & L...

Re: March 2026

Very bad situation to post March preview before all February races are designed, but it was time for it. For the stage races, here's my logic: T-A more popular, hence 3 editions again. Last year 15-18-22. Consequently, 2 time slots get rotated out, 1 stays. Afternoon was most popular, so Afternoon s...
