Re: Rapid Vitesse

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I had to be so final because otherwise I could never let go of the game. :D My "problem" now is mainly that I became too obsessed with winning and statistics (number of points and wins for each rider should fit his skills; I wanted to be the team with the highest ...

Rapid Vitesse says farewell

In the previous message I already announced that soon there would be some news about the year 2021 for Rapid Vitesse. And here it is: After 947 races, 341 wins and almost 6 years, Rapid Vitesse is going to leave the world of Cycling4Freaks. This post is going to present lots of statistics about the ...

Re: Rapid Vitesse

It's the end of the year, so it's time for the yearly review for Rapid Vitesse. Not many memorable races from this year. The most memorable win was winning Dunkerque in an unexpected but in the end deserved way. That's why Alejandro Mansilla gets the "Rider of the year"-award this year. He won two s...

Re: Are races too long?

Agreed, race length might not be the main reason why people quit. However, for me the race length can be a reason not to join a race. If it's 2 hours, with just a few teams and it's pretty much clear what will happen and little possibilities to alter the outcome, why join? It might be that other peo...

Second NC-day in a row where out of nowhere swatchepo, RC Sbrinz and SPO Wattwurm all magically appear on NC-day after being inactive for some time. swatchepo won Finland, Wattwurm participated in Bolivia and Sbrinz won Croatia and was active in Hungary. And maybe they were in Switzerland/Germany to...

Re: September 2020

Still, it's a 46 km mintact for the tour of Slovakia. With lots of flat kms in the end... So I would suggest to do it a bit later before the last hill, but that's just my opinion.

Re: Afternoon Giro - The one and only

It was a really cool tour to watch, even today it was an interesting stage. Didn't expect that Moja would still get into trouble, but in the end he did fine.

Congrats to him and to JJ who was truly amazing this tour!

To bring back some life into this topic, here's the reason why I prefer always going in calm breakaways over having a sprinter.

Re: MAY 2020

I think we should not ride a fantasy Giro and ride the real Giro later. Just follow the policy of what we do for regular races: use the real profile now (if available, but for GTs that should not be a problem) and ignore if they ride it later in real life. How many people would really want to ride 4...

Re: MAY 2020

I keep my mind for all the following races : keep it as it is in the original UCI calendar. If we already have the design it is perfect, real drawing at the original date. If we don't have the profile or the roadmap of the race, let's us race and stage from previous years. Couldn't agree more. It's...

Re: Rapid Vitesse Fantasy Races

What better place is there to hold a fantasy race these days than in a country where there is no Corona? In Turkmenistan the virus does not exist, according to their president, so he invites all cyclists from RSF to ride a race there. A side note from the organisation: please instruct your riders to...

Re: Idéfix age insult

I do not want to go into this specific case because I'm not involved in the calendar discussion, but in general the volunteers who keep the game running (Luques for sure, but also Big Donkey for the calendar, the NC and the FPC) deserve a bit more respect from some users here. We should realize that...

C4F World Tour 2019

I got inspired by Poke's World Tour statistics for 2020, so made a similar list for 2019. Like Poke, I gave points only the top 3 of classics and tours and to stage winners in tours. I gave no malus for small pelotons, but ignored results from races starting with less than 4 teams. Here are the top ...

Re: Rapid Vitesse

Yeah, it was not really a win to be proud of, but what can you do if 15 minutes before the race starts you find out that you can't be online much? For a cat 1 race I might just go offline and not ride for the win, but for a monthly goal and as a co-favo with Freudenfeuer and Erkrath (who didn't ride...

That's not what I was saying, but if you checked it, it might be true. Would ride MSR in the morning or afternoon, or not at all. Normally I don't have the riders to win it, so I may skip it if I have better things to do that day. :D
