Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Still surprised to have won time, that much, on the way to Montalcino. Now can afford to lose something like 24" per mountain stage. Ha! We'll see how tomorrow will be ridden. If he could have kept Sindarovs pace, he'd gain even more. :D Todays stage, MS, and while I am happy with the result for Sn...

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Question of the day: Could the 3man group make it, if they continue? I don't know about their remaining power, when they stopped. Inspired attack by maglia rosa Sindarov! Maybe too early though? Riding km 197-200 and attack at km201? This time followers would have been appreciated  Of cours...

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Yeah, not too easy to cooperate in that situation, I hoped that either Vaiaho or Lim could stay with Sindarov. If I send O'Riordan back instead of Fakasega then Trewlow won't sieb, and it gets easier. And of course I could also wait with sending Lim back to Sindarov for km124. 1min just not enough t...

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Sindarov in rosa! Nice! Strongest of the climbers by stats on that profile, rather chanceless against strong classics. So not really favo for another stagewin, but it seemed quite clear he could gain enough time on DeWit and Skeljvik to get the maglia rosa. The stage itself was interesting. Mosca di...

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

stage 9 with a "Abstauber" by Sindarov, who this time was clever enough to follow DeWit. Could have done some km more, even with yes, normal and probably still be stronger than Valtter and DeWit on that last km (9*). So little less time gained by the attackers, but still enough to get the maglia rosa...

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

not much more to add for stage 8 here. Cooperation in the Gruppetto was very good, as expected, with Stakhanov and Blankenau joining Jambaar Faye. In the fight for the maglia nera no changes, as all the dropped riders finished with the same time. Maybe today will be different? 3200 altimetres are st...

Re: May 21

How about Dauphine at 22 (only edition) and 4 times for TdS? Evening in the parallel program to the Giro is the only time which gets regularly 5+ teams, while neither morning, afternoon nor early evening gets in average more than 3 teams per race.

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Stage 7 saw the first not totally "flat" flat stage with a few possible sieb kms. Interesting profile, but with 2 (more) important stages following there was not too much action. A km1 attack by Equinox with Moore and McDermot (the leader in the maglia nera competition),some half-heartedly siebs by ...

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Stage 6: after a turbulent start the CCs had to bring back Koskov and co. very early. Sindarov then missed the attack by Gipfelstürmer. Quite a costly mistake, as the DeWit and Ballabeni came through while Sindarov, being isolated for many kms, didn't play any role in the final climb to San Giacomo....

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Stage 5 the expected MS. Again Lim and Eselson set up Snel perfectly and his sprint from 100m was just enough to stay in front. Wallinder although came very close, while the FL train with Wheeler followed by Messerli could only fight for p3. Good points for the ciclamino, stages like this (completel...

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Stage 3: Tried to get an opportunity to bring sneaky Lim in front before the last mountain as 7 7 5 just is too hard for him. Small little sieb by Sindarov at km 144, then continued with O'Riordan and attack with Lim + Fakasega at km154. Great plan! Nobody blocked, only Karatzoglou following and for...

Re: The real Giro 21: Afternoon

Lets spend some time, contribute to the racethread and start with the lineup: 1) Boudewijn Snel 2) Jarome Eselson 3) WhenZun Lim 4) Vaiaho Fakasega 5) Rosco Frazer 6) Doug O'Riordan 7) Nodirbek Sindarov 8) Georgi Koskov 9) Jambaar Faye Somehow surprising, but on the other hand not too much. The trio...

Re: May 21

Definitely against the idea of Dauphine // to Giro AND cut TdS for afternoon.
If you move dauphine then the 2+2 like PN/TA is ok for me.

Romandie 14h

As this years Romandie 14h edition could get very interesting lets make a racethread! 8 Teams - quite ok participation Sindarov-Draupnisson-Cubas-Oeudraogo-Savickas-Fakasega-Koskov-Frazer-O'Riordan So, the expected lineup? Yes, but with one last minute replacement. Vaiaho Fakasega. Signed that guy e...

I am joining the show at 15h. Maybe Sindarov for once can beat Eiffel, as he is not the declared captain of the Donkeys?

Re: Pais Vasco - 15h

Stage 2: Tried the Sindarov attack out of Peloton, but the gap was not big enough to save the helpers in front. Sindarov managed to get the gpm at km140 and took the lead in the mountain points classement. Stage 3: Big group, more or less red tempo during the whole stage, as fantasticos chased for t...

Re: Pais Vasco - 15h

Racethread, good idea! Sindarov-Cubas-Draupnisson-Savickas-Ouedraogo-Son-O'Riordan-Balam-Kiik That is most likely not at all the GIRO lineup, even though it is still a quite cheap team (446.633) with the last minute replacement Balam instead of Frazer for a possible sprint at stage 5. It will be Kul...

Tirreno 14h - The one and only

Racethread! 8 teams with very interesting lineups participating, very good numbers for the afternoon (last year PN 15h with 6 teams). CC lineup: Sindarov-Draupnisson-Balam-Lim-Snel-Koskov-Lylloff-O'Riordan-Frazer Goal is and was to try to get some MS and if Snel is dropped to fight for the win with ...

I am against 2020 version and would instead prefer to have either 2017,2018 or 2019 version without restday. Profiles are almost same anyway but riding the exactly same profil again just too boring.

Re: July 2020

Right now, the side program seems a bit too attractive indeed. Cut 1 Tour? Imo has to be Poland or Wallonie, because we already decided for the June Calendar between fantasy Austria/Sibiu. Downgrading to cat2 (cat1) wouldn't solve the problem, still too much money to win there. Sibiu: https://www.la...
