Re: Talent system for riders
Including a talent leads to less equal fields. I think this is a problem. If the difference between the top riders in a field is high tactics become less interesting. Especially for mountain riders and classics riders every skill point counts. You cannot win a mountain top finish with 2 mountain ski...

Re: time bonifications
I just want to revive this topic. The thread is one and a half year old. Nothing has changed and I still think this is important as many short tours are won and lost by time bonifications.
Re: Oman 21h
The first stage ended with a pleasant surprise for our team. Until 10 km to the finish line everything worked as planned for the sprinter teams. A group was controlled easily. Christian Töppler (Ruhrradler) won the only mountain classification out of the group and will wear red tomorrow and Nani Ber...
Oman 21h
We will come with a very expensive team formed around Richard Dedekind and Hermann Minkowski. The main target are stage victories and good overall results. It will be very different to gain time on the climbers to have a chance for overall victory but we will try if there is a possibility. line-up: ...

Re: March 2013
I do not think we need stage races where top teams are not allowed in the real season (UCI cat. 2.2) . The calendar is already densely packed. Additional races will also make fields weaker. There are so many nice tours that are important in reality, and do not forget the beautiful one day races.

Just one for the time after the snow. 12 laps in the "Lainzer Tiergarten" in Vienna. There is no Sieb-km, but it will be very difficult do control. And yes, just 6 riders per team in the narrow streets.

Re: Time/Bonus for stage in tour
As the real races start soon, we should also think about real time bonifiacations. In the Tour Down Under it is 10-6-4 for every stage and 3-2-1 for intermediate sprints. The same is true for many other tours in the calendar.

I decided to do something useful with my Dec-tour candidate. I can offer a chellenging 7 days tour. Likely I will offer most of the other stages as 1 day races. http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/pngfiles/levtour1.png http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/pngfiles/levtour2.png http://www.radsport...

Re: New transfer system for youth riders
In my opinion 1 less in every in every skill should be enough. These are still very good riders, and it should be enough to end the complains about the better market in div 6. Who does really profit from the div 6 market? New team, teams after a longer break and teams that ride very little. I do not...

Re: January 2013
There is no point in requesting a tour for a special kind or rider. I could propose to have a tour for classics, hillsprinters, classics sprinters or 80-70 every year. For me an essential part of the dec-tour contest is to have different types of tours in different locations. As mentioned before, to...

Re: January 2013
Perhaps the best solution is to take the runner up for the December contest, not just this year but as a general rule. It is very likely that the 2 tours favor different riders. Setting rules that the Jan-tour should be different from the Dec-tour are difficult, as we have many different types of ri...

Re: December Tour 12 competition talk and rules thread
About the mintact. This is always a difficult question. I think I had good reasons for my suggestions, and you have good for yours. As I have not much time to ride at the moment, I tend to set the mintact relatively short (well, shorter races would have the same effect, but it was deliberate to have...

Re: December Tour 12 competition talk and rules thread
Added the min tact for my presentation. On most stages they are very short. The stages are long anyway and the alternative would have been min tacts for more than 50 km. My presentation could have been much better, but unfortunately I did not have much time to make it perfect. So try to judge the to...

The tour has 12 stages, 1 time trial on the first day, no real mountain top finishes, number of sprint stages ... decide yourself. For ...

Re: Bugs / wishes
While designing my December Tour candidate I run into some problems with flags. First of all the Libyan flag is still the green flag used by the Gaddafi regime. The changed it back to the traditional flag and the tour will not be welcomed in Benghazi using the Gaddafi flag. More difficult is another...

I am happy to present a real climbers tour. 4 days on 4 different islands in the Atlantic ocean. The first stage is on the small island of Hierro, hence it is short, but that will not make it easy. http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/pngfiles/canarias.png Second stage in La Palma, with very high m...

Two more races in Mexico, both are quite long and the first one is very boring. http://www.radsportfreaks.de/radsport/pngfiles/cancoon_valladolid.png I was tempted to award mountain points for the two +1 in the course. To make it a little bit interesting I decided to race it with 6 riders per team. ...

Re: Akurojin-no-hi team attac britain 20 hours field 2
A problem with the ban is that the team does not know how long it is banned. I fear the members of the fairplay committee do not know it either. So what should the concerned team do? Create a new team and risk being a multi when the ban is lifted? Hope that the ban will be lifted soon or leave the g...

Re: Races by Radunion

I will try to figure out the road surface before I draw races in the future (hope this is possible from the satellite pictures). Ar...

Re: Races by Radunion
I was thinking about controlling 120 km with 3 helpers for a hillsprinter/classics sprinter. Just hope for some help and that the other teams do not know when the have to attack to leave me helpless. Anyway, I found another tropical island for a hilly race. This time on Santiago, one of the Cape Ver...
