Re: Where is Scotland?

Of course there is good reason to have only countries with their own cycling federation. The last World Championships were won by GB not by the Isle of Man. But it could be interesting for the statistics to have regions for the big countries. Let Bavarian riders fight against the Saarland for the nu...

Re: Paris - Nice 17h

As expected, the 5. stage brought decisive changes in the overall. When Freudenfeuer initiated the decisive split with more than 30 km to go the top time trialists missed out and lost their chances to win the tour. In the final the top mountain riders were fighting for the stage win while Jakov Kara...

Re: Paris - Nice 17h

Today a lot of disappointed faces were seen in my team directly after the finish. After a strong showing of the team George got a unlucky second behind Henry Lapébie (jump-team) in the final sprint. After the race heated up just before the final hill with the fight for the tour victory raging betwee...

Re: Paris - Nice 17h

The third stage brought little time differences but a close fight for the stage. After some smaller groups in the beginning the decisive attack came less than 20 km from the finish when Guiseppe Vitali and René Baire from Radunion attacked and could increase their advantage on the light downhill sec...

Re: sprint again

I believe the 4 more sprint points are too less for +2, simply because the difference is too big. Just assume that for the sprint counts 1/10 mountain and 9/10 sprint, than the sprinter has an effective sprint value 1/10 * 50 + 9/10 * 92 = 87.8 already more than 4 points less. If it is 1/5 mointain,...

Re: Paris - Nice 17h

Yesterday a typical sprinter stage got complicated when Rohazon RC, the team of the best sprinter, decided that it is too difficult for him to control the race and went in the attack. With Jakov Karatschun in a group of 7, Freudenfeuer challenged Riding Stars who had to ride to defend yellow and his...

The first stage brought the expected result. Patrick Derouille from Riding Stars took the stage and all jerseys but the white. The white jersey goes to Hermann Schwarz (Radunion) who finished 2nd 8 sec behind. The positions of the race favourites are 1. Patrick Derouille (Riding Stars) 2. Hermann Sc...

Re: Fragen & Antworten

Paris - Nice 17h

Our team will start in this first big test of the European season. The line-up 1 Hermann Schwarz - the 23 year old young star is riding his first race and hopes for a solid gc position and maybe white 2 George Stokes - he hopes to win at least one stage despite the hard to control terrain 3 Leopold ...

Re: New transfer system for youth riders

Is there no limitation for this kind or riders in div 6 (67 mountain, 72 tt)? -> change it please These riders are normally not sold above the price as they are expensive anyway. And I think it is no problem to wait a little bit for a rider that is definitely a leader. In my experience it is more li...

Re: dirt road "Naturstrasse" "sterrato"

Why not simple change the physics for pave a little bit in favour of climbers, and downhill riders. I do not think that dirt road is so different from pave, but our pave system is not very good for longer climbs (indeed pave riders ride in the dirt next to the pave in some sections). Instead of taki...

Re: Bringing the sprinter in position

I was thinking about the influence no medium size groups (15 - 40 riders), that you get if you ride for a hill sprinter or classics sprinter. I fear that the influence there is bigger as many teams do not have 3 helpers left. I especially see problems if you make an exception for small groups and gi...

Re: Bringing the sprinter in position

And to the reality argument: It has also nothing to do with reality that a sprinter team isn't able to react to those parasites. Yeah, everybody says we should escape. That is no solution, cause in 98% of the cases there is a damn 79 flatrider with 68 sprint or something like that in your wheel. Ok...

Re: Bringing the sprinter in position

For me it looks like a bonus for sprinter teams that has little to do with reality, especially if you do not take the energy level of riders into account (else it would be an advantage for teams that do not work). In reality the team that does not work has an advantage. There is a disadvantage if th...
