Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

Changes one changes three times. Baliaska, Schroder and Gordon leave Bovakian-Nairn for pastures new. Romain TheWolf, Ben Swiftman and Ron Talent come in as replacements. Maybe something will happen, but such good deals are rare as the team make over a million in profit in the transfer market. Perso...

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

Le Tour - Stage 5 August Schrodel gains first race victory as a five man breakaway is successful. The breakaway included Robin Magnin of Recein Nacidos who claim the Mountain Jersey and Thomas Vouclaire of Veeshan Team, who claim the lead in the General Classification. Schrodel, himself, missed out ...

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

The final stage of Tour de Beauce saw Jarni Baliaska claim his first race victory and claiming his first points classification, but this still did not bring in the sponsorship the team required to keep their squad together. From the squad that raced in Canada only Baliaska, Gordon and Schrodel remai...

Re: Giro 22h group 2

Nice to meet you Toreeto. I see you and UC Nantes have good TT squads and can see me losing time to you both in the TT's, but hope to gain time on certain stages through the Giro. Just to warn you UC that I will keep an eye on Carro, because of his climbing as well as TT gifts. My leader is Jarni Ba...

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

Wholesale wage cutting takes place at Bovakian-Nairn. The wage bill at Bovakian-Nairn has been reduced by around 50k per race in an effort to balance the books and aim towards a long term future of the team. BoassonHagen, Zaugg, Discali and Ruiz were released from their contracts earlier today and a...

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

Thanks OL.

Hope he does train well, so he can take over from the other two in a couple of months time, in the meantime I will be looking to improve the support riders.

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

BoassonHagen adds Green shirt win on Pais Vasco tour.

This also so the departure of Ehrensvard from the squad after a dissapointing time with the team. New find David Gordon replaces him.

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

Thank you Lizard. I have tried a few things already, but need to plan it out better and not buy replacements without thinking how they fit into what I think I could get the best and more consistent results from. I have had some good tours, but obviously with the right (affordable) team members I cou...

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

Thanks for the advice NoPik.

I will look into that more carefully over the coming months, especially on the basis of having helpers who are a reasonably good, but affordable and captain(s) that are needed for specific races or tours, who also do not drain the resources excessively.

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

Salaries really make a difference. I might be able to attend races and not actually loose money if I don't get any points.

Re: Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

Michael Tonini has terminated his contract with Bovakian-Nairn with immediate affect also leaving is Michel Chabineau. His replacement is Angel Mendo from Argentina (60-81-50-53-55 Cob 70.2 Reg 45 aged 30). This change appear to have been brought about to tightening budget strings from the managemen...

Bovakian-Nairn - Lost in Translation (I am English!!)

I thought it was about time to introduce myself to the wider membership of RSF. For those of you I have not raced against yet, which is probably 70% of you, I am Bova. You will usually find me racing at 22:00 or 23:00 race times mainly occassionally I may appear in 21:00 or 24:00 races, but highly u...

Re: national championchips

In general I would agree with this, however is the a way of advertising the start times for the National Championships elsewhere other than Inscription and for those times to be available up to a week in advance so those of us "offliners" have a chance to attend the ones we may feel we have a chance...

Re: ~ RSF World Tour ~

NoPik are you not going to include interested teams that were only in race 2 when there has been two races at the same time, because we were not ranked high enough to be in race 1 as that particular start time was oversubscribed? FYI I was in race 2 at 2200 for Down Under. Though I didn't win it, du...

Re: Races by Mapei Quickstep

Hey Mapei,

I think Oxford to Sheffield could have at least one more sprint point and maybe a Cat 4 hill classification or 2 to make it a little more interesting.
Otherwise it is a nice long stage.

Cheers
